local: regional
Phorm architecture + design seeks to create new architecture with local identities.
A Brisbane based practice specialising in architectural projects across various scales since 2001; half of our projects are located within the inner city suburbs, the compliment are scattered throughout Northern New South Wales and regional Queensland’s diverse terrains and townships, inland to coastline.
Phorm seeks to craft site specific projects that 'inherently belong to' or celebrate place. Choreographing and nurturing the relationships between occupants and landscape or cityscape. Central to our approach are the ideas of ‘placement’ and ‘displacement’.
The Practice has been recognised in national and international exhibitions including:
Placemakers, Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane (2008)
Wallpaper* Future 30, Rotterdam Biennale, Netherlands (2010)
